Q: How far in advance should I schedule service?
A: Typically, we can work your service into our schedule with a week’s notice.  During the Spring, and specifically for residential customers, we are at our busiest and need about two to three weeks advance notice.  This is mainly due to the additional steps taken to clean and stain decks.  If there is an emergency, such as grease spills or explicit graffiti, we will make special arrangements and take care of the job immediately.  If you have a particular event or day you need the completed by, please share that with us at the beginning so that we meet your deadline.   

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: We accept VISA and MasterCard, or EASILY pay online, just click PAY ONLINE to the right!

Q: How does the weather affect power washing?
A:We can work in most weather conditions, 70 degrees or warmer is the optimal temperature for residential cleaning.  Some cleaners react better to warmer temperatures; thus providing better results.   

Q: Are the chemicals used harmful to the environment?
A: Cleaners are needed to perform jobs properly.  However, used at the correct levels, they will not harm landscaping, grass or siding.  A true professional pressure washing company will use the right specialty cleaners and use very low pressure to rinse away the dirt, mildew, gum, etc.
 
Q: What surfaces can be cleaned?
A: Almost all surfaces can be cleaned.  Some surfaces react better than others.  Please call us so that we can talk with you about your particular situation.

Q: Do you offer waste water cleanup services?
A: Yes!  Crescent Mobile Power Wash is equipped to handle waste water cleanup.

Q:  How do I obtain a FREE ESTIMATE?
A:  Just fill out our FREE ESTIMATE form with all your information and submit the form.

Q: Is there anything I should do to prepare for service?
A: Minimal work is required by you to prepare for service. Please make sure all outside power and water sources are turned on and are in working order. If we are cleaning the drive way, please have cars removed. Also please remove small personal items from pool enclosure areas. It will be our pleasure to move larger items around to perform service.

Q: Do you clean windows?
A: We do not clean windows.  However, we have a network of vendors we work with and we are trained to provide you with a joint bid for both power washing and windows. Check out our friends atJust Windows Cleaning for a bid on your windows!

Q: What’s the difference between your equipment and what I can buy at a local hardware store?
A: We not only have years of experience, but we also have the equipment, the training and the cleaners to do the job correctly and safely.  Our machines are all hot water and high volume and although not required for all jobs, these two elements together make a significant difference in results.   

Q: Are you licensed?  Insured? 
A: Crescent Mobile Power Wash, Inc. carries all requisite insurance.  Our liability policy covers up to $1,000,000 and all employees are covered by Workman’s Compensation.  The state of Missouri does not require licensing for contractors.  However, visit the Missouri Secretary of State to view our official documents.  We also carry a City of St. Louis business license. 

Q: Does your service have references?
A: References are available upon request. If you are a satisfied customer, please let us know. We’d love to add you to our list of testimonials and references!     

Q: How long has Crescent Mobile Power Wash been in business?
A: Crescent Mobile Power Wash has been in business since May 1999.  Visit the Missouri Secretary of State to view our official documents. 

Residential

Q: Do I need to be home at the time you are there?
A: Typically, you do not need to be home at the time of service.  Due to scheduling changes (mostly due to weather), we don’t require an appointment time and we’d rather not give you an arrival time of somewhere between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.!

Q: How much would it cost to clean the outside of a ‘typical’ house?
A: The average cost of cleaning the outside of a house (includes brushing gutters) is typically between $0.10 and $0.18 per real estate square footage of the house. 

Q: Do you clean the inside of gutters?
A: We will be happy to clean out your gutters for an additional fee.  Cleaning and brushing the outside of the gutters is included in the price of the house cleaning.

Q: Can you clean a two-story house (and the gutters)?
A: Yes.  We use the necessary equipment to reach all levels of houses safely. 

Q: I have pets; will chemicals be used around my home?
A: Diluted cleaners are used to fight tough stains and we use properly mixed ratios of those cleaners.  We use environmentally safe cleaners to ensure the best possible improvement to your property. Due to other factors, such as having to leave gates open, using ladders and pulling hoses and for everyone’s safety, we ask that you please have all pets secured inside the home.

Q: Are there neighborhood rates?
A: Working with neighbors will definitely benefit you! We offer a significant discount to each home on multi-home neighborhood discounts. The savings will vary depending on the number of houses participating and the size of the houses. Call us so that we may talk with you about your particular group.

Q: What are the small, black spots all over my siding on my house? It’s on the porch, my windows, but it is worse on the siding. It goes all the way up to my second-story windows, and is even under my soffitt and on my gutters.  What is this?
A: Artillery fungus is a white-rotting, wood-decay fungus that likes to live on moist landscape mulch.  The spore masses of the artillery fungus stick like super-glue. We have not found a way to get them off without leaving a stain or damaging the siding, especially on old dry siding. Power washing may work on brand new (only) vinyl siding that still has a shiny, oily, sheen.  For more information on artillery fungus visit plantclinic.cornell.edu.

A: Yes, we offer a 24/7/365 service to accommodate every client and their companies needs. 

Q: Is there a monthly/ or weekly maintenance package available?
A: Yes, we offer maintenance deals. Please call us so that we can talk with you about your particular situation.

Q: My contractor said my buildings sidings and decks are zero maintenance is this true?
A: Low maintenance yes, zero maintenance no. Anything left outside and exposed to all outside elements (sun, humidity, etc.), will get dirty and moldy.
